This is Reading Road, with four houses to the north, and Cross Lanes Farm and partially-completed Walden Avenue to the south. The field alongside was part of the Newlands Estate, offered for sale at auction in 1947 as Lot 9. It did not become Pudding Lane Nurseries for several decades afterwards.
